Such a great potential has attracted tremendous efforts to the development of practical alkali and alkaline earth metal-air batteries, mainly using Na, K and Ca anodes and the cathodes consist of catalysts for O2 reduction, as high-energy-density rechargeable batteries for electric vehicle applications [8-11] Results and discussion Fig. 1 shows the capacity features of alkali and alkaline earth metal batteries.
These data demonstrate the feasibility and the great potential of the alkali and alkaline earth metal -air batteries.

Reductions to the in-plane fatigue properties are due to microstructural damage caused by the z-pins.
Similar reductions to the compression properties due to z-pins have been reported elsewhere [23],[24].
The reduction in the compression fatigue life is mostly caused by the reduction in the static compression properties caused by the z-pins.
The compressive fatigue life curves presented in Fig. 3 together with other published fatigue data for cyclic tensile and bending loads [16]-[19],[21] reveal that z-pins reduce the fatigue life and strength of aerospace carbon fibre-epoxy composites.
There is significant scatter in the delamination growth rate data for the unpinned laminate, and other delamination fatigue studies on unpinned carbon-epoxy composites [25] attribute scatter to the slip (crack advance) – stick (crack arrest) behaviour of the fatigue process, which is caused mostly by fibre bridging along the crack.

These give a corresponding size reduction of ten times compared to conventional dielectrics, silicon nitride (Si3N4).
We propose MgZnO thin film as a new dielectric material in MMIC design to achieve size reduction over currently-used materials.
From S11 data, the properties of MgZnO film such as relative permittivity, capacitance and loss tangent were extracted.
From S11 data others RF properties such as dielectric constant, capacitance and loss tangent can be extracted as summarized in Table 1.
Size reduction of capacitor area approximately ten times over the MMIC materials has been obtained.
