When ballast materials are subjected to cyclic loading, as a result, the change of particles micromechanical properties will lead to ballast degradation, permanent deformations on the railways step by step.
The modeling simulation of the real railway ballast particles shapes is always a worldwide difficult problem among bulk materials research.

Introduction
3D E-glass fiber composites are a kind of advanced structural materials, in the thickness direction of which, E-glass fibers are introduced, effectively improving the mechanical properties of these materials with stronger energy-absorption ability[1] and higher strength and modulus et al.
Therefore, the study of mechanical response of the materials at high strain rate is very necessary.
The mechanical responses of the materials under dynamic and static load conditions have been studied.
Materials and methods 3D E-glass fiber composites are a kind of structural materials at the micro-scale.
