A study of tool wear and surface roughness was conducted by Yusuf et al. [7] in dry turning of LM6-TiC composite using uncoated carbide cutting tool.
Joardar et al. [8] used LM6/SiCp MMC to evaluate the effect of process parameter in turning by using response surface methodology.
Higher oxidation resistance occurred because of the protective layer formation of Al2O3 and an intermediate layer formed by Ti, Al, O and N [9].

Almeida et al. [10] proposed a damage model for a carbon-fibre reinforced composite pipes under external pressure.
The CDM method chosen is presented in Matzenmiller et al. [13].
These results are in agreement with those presented by Xia et al. [4].
The stress distribution tends to concentrate at the edges, which is in agreement with the work of Baranger et al. [15].

Drews et al[6] found that depending on membrane plate spacing, wall shear can decrease with bubble size.
Hwang et al[7] investigated the effect of gas–liquid flow pattern on the performance of air-sparged cross-flow microfiltration of yeast suspension.
Lu et al[10] studied the influence of bubble characteristics on the performance of submerged hollow fiber MF membrane module.
The phenomena was also reported by James et al.[12] and Van der Graff et al.[13] who observed that periodic backflushing could improve UF membrane productivity.

Ratnam et al. [7] reported earlier that irradiation-induced reactions occur both in double bond and epoxy regions of ENR.
According to Datta et al. [10] and Banik and Bhowmick [11], oxidative crosslinking and chain scission are believed to be prevailing reactions.
According to Ang et al. [15], the irradiation-induced crosslinking in polymers is often reflected by the hardness of the irradiated sample.
This is similar to irradiated ENR50 which have been studied by Ratnam et al. [7] who observed that the hardness of ENR50 was increased with irradiation.

Sarmadi et al. [3] have studied the possibility of fabrication of carbon –copper composite using friction stir processing (FSP).
Similar findings were reported by Xiao et al. [6] and Xiao et al. [7].
Feng et al. [9] have studied the effect of lubricants on warm compaction process of Cu-based composite.
The finding is correlated with previous work reported by Feng et al. [9].
