Three dimensional simulation using ANSYS Fluent have been conducted for six different configurations at Reynolds number ranging from 200 to 1000 based on louver pitch.
In this study, numerical method using commercial CFD code ANSYS 14.0 is employed for various geometrical parameters in order to determine the pressure drop and heat transfer rate of louvered fin heat exchanger.
The numerical work involved 3-dimensional, steady simulation of air enters across the heat exchanger.

The effects of bionic wavy surface on the aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance of the cylinder are investigated by wind tunnel and numerical simulation.
We used the software ANSYS FLUENT to research the effect of the bionic wavy surface on the aerodynamic characteristics and aerodynamic noise of a cylinder by the Large Eddy Simulation(LES) and the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) equation.
Fig.4 Boundary conditions 3 Comparison of simulation results 3.1 The SPL (sound pressure level) comparison of the cylinders The SPL comparison spectrum at the noise monitoring points of smooth cylinder and wavy surface cylinder is depicted in Fig.5.
According to the numerical simulation results, the total sound pressure level(SPL) of bionic wavy cylinder model is reduced by 6.7dB compared with smooth cylinder model at uniform velocity of 42m/s. 3.
According to the results of numerical simulation, bionic wavy structure can reduce the frequency of vortex shedding on cylindrical surface, so the fluctuating pressure should be lowered correspondingly, and thus the aerodynamic noise is lowered.

The author believes that there exists the best combination of the angle of axis deflection and atomization,in the case the position of the nozzle outlet end is located in a static liquid film surface wave peak to trough transition. It most likely may be the maximum spray cone angle condition.Through CFD simulation or literature[[]YANG Li-jun, FU Qing-fei.Effect of injector on pressure oscillation amplitude-frequency characteristics from pipeline to combustion chamber.Journal of Aerospace Power[J].Vol.23 No.2.Feb. 2008 ] analysis, the wave amplitude can be achieved.

However the cost of simulation can prohibit its use.
However the simulation costs are very similar.
It is clear that simulation is not the total answer.
Of over the 66 dies designed, recently by Casting Services, more than 23 had to be completed without the use of CFD simulation.
This was used to obtain the required length of each runners for multiple cavity runners and thereby reduce the number of simulation iterations and cost of simulation.
