So, the material with high anti-fracture properties, for enduring high impact, is desired for fabrication of microaccelerometer.
Metal material has much higher fracture toughness than silicon material, the static fracture toughness of Ni structure fabricated using UV-LIGA technology is 52.73Mpa·m1/2[6], but the static fracture toughness of polysilicon is 2 Mpa·m1/2, the minimum value of dynamic fracture toughness is 70% of the static fracture toughness.
