Sarhan et al. (2001) presents an approach to examine the effect of wear variation on the magnitude of the cutting force harmonics.
Shao et al. (2004), described a cutting power model in face milling operation, where cutting conditions and average tool flank wear are taken into account.
Bhattacharyya et al. (2007) proposed the use of combinations of signal processing techniques for real-time estimation of tool wear in face milling using cutting force signals.
Yun et al. (2011) presented a new method for detecting the onset of ploughing during micro milling on the basis of the cutting force signal.

Following the work of Zhai et al [20], crystal growth can be divided into several periods to study the crystal growth process.
Fig. 1 Schematic of experiment apparatus Pure Al (99.97%) was melt using an electric resistance furnace in this experiment.
This result agrees with the viewpoint of Vogel et al [21].

Honma et al. [6] reported that the extruded and peak-aged Mg-10Gd-5.6Y-1.6Zn-0.5Zr (wt.%) alloy exhibited high TYS of 473 MPa, UTS of 542 MPa, and elongation of 8 %.
According to Kawamura et al., there are two types of LPSO Mg alloys: one is as-cast alloys and the other is soaked alloys [10].
As-extruded VWZO52207 alloy exhibited good mechanical properties (TYS: 407 MPa, UTS: 424 MPa, and El.: 6.9 %) among tested alloys

In 2000, Subramanian et al. firstly reported a very large (>104) and nearly temperature (T) independent apparent static dielectric constant, for CCTO ceramics samples above room temperature [1].
Adams et al. suggested an explanation for the behavior of CCTO in terms of conducting grains and insulating grain boundaries [8, 9].
Strong supports for this suggestion was provided by Chung et al. in the most definitive work thus far on pure CCTO ceramic [5].
According to the report of Fang et al. [15], domains are scarcely developed due to high surface strength energy in small grains compared with large ones.

Liu et al have also discussed that nanoparticle size also depends on the molecular weight (MW) of the PEG [21].
This figure is in general agreement with Lui et al, who reported that ~300 molecules of 5000 MW PEG rendered gold nanoparticles (21.8 nm) stable in 1M NaCl.

W and Re segregated to the dendrite cores while Al, Ta and Nb were enriched in interdendritic regions during solidification.
In comparison to the bulk alloy composition, the dendrite cores were significantly enriched by W and Re and depleted in Ta, Al, and Nb.
Conversely, the interdendritic regions of the as-cast alloy were enriched by Al, Ta and Nb, whereas lower levels of W and Re were observed.
The eutectic γ/γ′ regions were further enriched by Ta, Al, and Nb and depleted in W and Re.

Van der Horst et al. [34], recently reported the chemical synthesis of bismuth-silver bimetallic nanoparticles for the detection of platinum in sediment samples.
The working electrode was prepared by the drop-casting procedure that was used in the work done by Van der Horst et al. [35].
Van der Horst et al. [34] have chemically synthesised bismuth-silver bimetallic nanoparticles to construct a nanosensor for PGMs analysis.
