The EDS elemental analysis of alloy (a) in Table 1 is similar to that reported by Erhu Yan et al [21].
The alloy (c) consists of BCC-(NbTaV, Hf) solid solution and HfCo which is confirmed by ErHu Yan et al [21].

First solutions of the contact problem with the BEM trace back to Andersson et al. [13].
In case of contact - stick or slip - the total tangential relative displacements are composed by a reversible elastic part ˆuc,el ti and the slip ˆuc,sl ti : ˆucti = ˆuc,el ti + ˆuc,sl ti . (24) Between the reversible displacements and tangential tractions also a linear constitutive law with the constant tangential contact stiffness ǫt is assumed: tti(ˆucti) = −ǫt ˆuc,el ti . (25) This softening of the hard contact conditions can be physically interpreted as a deformation of the surface roughness [23].
Therefore, the kink angle ϕ(P) is calculated by the maximum tangential stress (MTS) criterion of Erdogan et al. [32].
Following the investigation of Tanaka et al. [33] the values of KI(P) and KII(P) are replaced by their ranges ∆KI(P) and ∆KII(P) within the MTS-criterion (43).
An extension considering the static pre-stressing of the structure is given by the formula of Hourlier et al. [35] da(P) dN = C [∆Keq(P)] m Kmax eq (P) n (45) with the additional material parameter n.

For example, Kulovits et al. [7] and Zabev et al. [8] cold rolled nanocrystalline nickel with grain sizes of 40 and 30 nm, respectively, up to 80% strain and found no major change in the hardness of the materials.
In contrast, Wu et al. [9] reported significant strain hardening capacity on the basis of relatively large yield strength increases for cryogenically deformed nanocrystalline nickel electrodeposits with a grain size of 20 nm.
Brooks et al. [10] have recently shown that for many electrodeposited materials, including nickel, such a relationship between hardness and yield strength is generally not applicable.
Meyers et al. pointed out that with the reduction in grain size, the mean free path of dislocations decreases.

A popular but not perfect tool for rock-soil mass characterization is the geological strength index (GSI) (Marinos el al 2005).
Engineers have found this procedure very useful, particularly because of its connection with the Hoek-Brown failure criterion (Marinos et al. 2005, Hoek et al. 2002) that allows strength characterization of the rock-soil mass.
