Use of magnesium alloys as biodegradable implants may offer many advantages over conventional implant materials (namely, stainless steels, titanium alloys and Co-Cr alloys), such as: (1) possibility of avoiding second surgery owing to their biodegradability, (2) avoiding stress shielding problem, and (3) being cheaper as compared to traditional implant materials.

The construction of highway engineering needs a lot of materials such as asphalt and aggregates.
But the natural raw materials are in great shortage.
Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) reuses the milled pavement materials.
In grading 2, the RAP amounts to 68% and 30.5% virgin materials are used.
The usage of virgin materials can improve the strength and stability of the cold recycled asphalt mixture.
