The primary EC implementation activities include modifying the BOM and drawings, purchasing or manufacturing the new materials, consuming the old inventory, switching from the old materials to new materials, using the new materials for first-article assembly and packing, shipping the first-article with new materials to customer, etc.
So the switching time point for new materials and old materials can be chosen as a basic time point.
The exhausting time point of the old materials is just the cutting in date for the new materials.
