Frequency dispersion less than 10 kHz mainly has a tie with induced polarization (IP) effect caused by electrochemistry, and IP frequency dispersion effect is speculated still to be observable if frequency is reduced to below 10 Hz according to the law of spectral induced polarization and the existing actual materials [16].

The paper analyses possibilities to use new materials having a high degree of adhesion for designing vacuum gripping elements with a view to increase the radial capacity and at the same time to preserve the compressed air consumption or the vacuum level.
So distributed loading brings marked changes in the contact area geometry (contact profile shape) owing to the elastomer friction, adhesive and material properties and the vacuum degree.
