Qualitative Assessment of the RCS Reduction Benefits on Detection Probability of an Armed Helicopter
Online since: May 2011
Authors: Yang Pei, Ting Guo, Bi Feng Song, Qiang Dong
Refs. [5] and [6] have analyzed the effects of radar absorbing materials on the RCS reduction.
The table shows that after coating radar absorbent materials, the RCS is obviously reduced from 4.88 to 2.62 dbsm.
From the figure we can see that the stealthy materials have a large effect on the reduction of helicopter’s detection probability.
For example, coating radar absorbent materials means an increase in the helicopter’s weight and cost.

With development and
application of high speed machining technology and tool materials, high speed milling cutter has
developed into the high quality product that satisfies multi-level functional requirements [2], the
performance behavior of cutter in high speed milling has come to extensive attention [3].
