Figure 1: Principle of the LBM process Fundamentals and State of the Art Manufacturing of Rare Earth NdFeB Magnets Permanent magnets made of the material NdFeB are currently produced either by powder metallurgy or as composite materials made of magnetic particles and plastic.
Only LBM offers not only a small minimum structural size of the components, but also a good surface quality and the elimination of binder materials, whereby the maximum achievable parameters are only dependent on the magnetic alloy used.

In the experiment the following form of the Johnson-Cook material equation was used, as suggested by [2, 10-14]: (1) where σeq- equivalent stress, - plastic strain, - plastic strain rate, - referential plastic strain rate, T- temperature of workpiece, Tmelt- melting temperature of the workpiece material, Troom- temperature of the machining environment, A- yield stress, B- tensile stress, C- sensitivity coefficient of the plastic strain, n- the hardening factor , m- the softening coefficient.
The specific values of some components of the equation for the examined material quality can be found in [12, 13].

Introduction Concrete as quasi-brittle materials, has obvious size effect phenomenon, which is in the testing of material properties, among which some mechanical parameters, such as strength, fracture energy.
The size effect is the inherent characteristics of these materials.
