Experiment material and method
1.1 Experiment material
Specimens used in the experiment analysis are taken from the SA210 steel tube, where leak caused by corrosion were found, in the high pressure evaporator of this power plant heat recovery boiler, with outer diameter being 40mm and wall thickness being 3mm.
It can be seen from the Fig.17 of the corroding pit’s bottom microstructure that there are merely corroding points of the grain size embedded into the substrate at the edge of the corroding pits because of the prior corroding of the pearlite grains, showing that the corrosion which leads to the corroding pits is not caused by the material but by the chemical battery formed by the steel tubes soaking in the water and oxygen[7-8].
