Ergonomics is strengthened by being a set of several fields in the human and technological sciences, as it includes anthropometry, biomechanics, physiology, psychology, toxicology, mechanical engineering, industrial design, mathematics, information technology and industrial management.
Thus, seams in the joint areas have been relocated to other areas of the body, considering the current state of the elderly’s skin, which, with advancing age, appears more sensitive, susceptible to developing injuries that may result in the development of a pressure ulcer.
