Since adhesion plays a significant role in microtribology, properties of adhesion work of
several materials, such as Si, and mica are investigated by AFM.
In order to examine the variable properties of adhesion work between two surfaces, several materials are prepared in our tests, such as Si(100), and newly cleaved mica.
Furthermore, our experiments also show that adhesion forces are independent of the maximum contact load, since the pull-off forces on all the tested materials keep constant when load varies from nNs to µNs.
For the tested materials, adhesion work directly influences the velocity dependent property of micro friction force.

Binders materials with low carbon emissions, more durable materials, which allow the reutilization of residues, recyclable materials or obtained from renewable sources, materials with low energy incorporated or non-toxic and does not pollute the air inside the housing, are examples of what maybe several variants that fit the eco-efficiency of construction materials (Torgal, et al.,) [5].
