This paper proposes a new technique, called gelatinization, for processing this class of ceramics in order to obtain materials with more controlled pore size, plus a more homogeneous distribution.
The technique used in the processing of ceramic materials directly affects their characteristics such as chemical composition, particle morphology and porosity of the sample.
The third method is the gelcasting (direct foaming), which is widely used due to its low cost and the facility of manufacturing of ceramic materials with high porosity percentage, reaching an amount of 95% of pores.
