Moreover, this family of
materials is very promising for new solid-sate actuators as ferromagnetic shape memory
alloys and as magnetocaloric materials as has been proposed [7].
In all these cases, alloys were produced as bulk polycrystalline samples.
In the present study, crystalline phases, morphology and magnetic properties of glass-coated microwires of Cu-Ga-Mn alloy were investigated with the aim of finding a new ferromagnetic shape memory and magnetocaloric material candidate.
Starting alloys of nominal composition Cu50Ga25Mn25 were prepared by arc-melting of the pure elements (>99.9%) in Ar atmosphere.

The development approach is based on a microalloying concept, which aims to
restrict grain growth considerably during alloy casting and forming.
Our new Mg alloys were designed with these requirements in mind.

Abstract.
Presently, a common object of studies in various fields of engineering science is Ni-Al alloys.
Currently, the task is to obtain binary and multilayer films of Ni-Al system, synthesize intermetallic compounds in them and study the structure of the obtained films.
The aim of the study is to obtain binary and multilayer films of Ni-Al system, synthesize intermetallic compounds and study the structure of films by means of optical and probe microscopy, as well as by the eddy current method, and to determine the size of islands and the kinetics of the synthesis wave.

In Al-Mn-Fe-Si alloys, the predominant dispersoid phases are the orthorhombic β-Al₆(Mn,Fe) and the cubic α-Al₁₅(Fe,Mn)₄Si₂ compounds.
Processing routes for variable-composition alloys are thus challenging to optimize using traditional trial-and-error methods.
The simulation outputs include as-cast phase fractions of intermetallic compounds (IMCs) and compositional profiles of solute elements across a secondary dendrite arm.
These predicted solute profiles and volume fractions of intermetallic compounds served as the initial condition for further homogenization simulation.

There have been a number of studies about Mg-Al alloys.
Homogenization can significantly eliminate the eutectic structure of magnesium alloys.
Although there are many studies of Mg-Al alloys, the report on AZ40M magnesium alloy is rare.

TiAl-based alloys are sensitive to its grain structure.
Grain size, lamellar thickness and amount of (B2+ω) in TiAl-based alloys are shown in Table 2.
Multiple TiAl alloys containing Nb and W compared to binary TiAl alloys more difficult to achieve fine grains and no harmful segregation phases.
This article aims to explore the critical components points of the initial crystalline precipitate(L®β and L®α) and the critical components points of the peritectic reaction(L+β®αp and L+α®γp) of this pentatomic TiAl alloy phase diagram.

With superior strength after annealing among existing titanium alloys, it has excellent long-term work performance below 350℃ (≤10000h) [4, 5].
The present paper aims at wear behavior of LMD TC18 titanium alloy, and the improvement of the wear resistance of laser nitrided LMD TC18 titanium alloy.
With the high-energy laser beam irradiating, nitrogen gas react with liquid titanium and titanium alloys in bath, where happened a strong chemical/metallurgical interaction, thereby chemistry and composition of liquid metal in the bath were significantly changed.
