However, most of these reports are primarily focused on increasing surface hardness and corrosion resistance, improving friction and wear behavior, or changing the surface chemical components of substrate materials.
Therefore, DLC film synthesized on AISI52100 bearing steel surface by PIII&D is a promising technology for improving the RCF live and mechanical behaviors of bearing materials.

Logically speaking, if a mechanical signal is acted on an related mechanical nano-structure, the corresponding strain distribution will be produced in the structure; the built-in electric field will be resulted from the strain in system in some conditions (for instance, piezoelectricity of materials); the strain and built-in electric field will result in the change of electronic energy states (such as a shift); the change of electronic energy state will influence on the value of the tunneling current.
The pre-strain analyses of nano- plane material have been studied, such as of super-lattices, and a lot of papers have been published [4].
