This confirms the previous study by Lalasari et al [14][14] showing that the TiO2 products were dominated with some bulk aggregates of amorphous and nanocrystallines phases.
Lin et al. [6] also found that the synthesized meso-TiO2 and nano-TiO2 are composed of well-dispersed nanoparticles with a diameter in the range 20 – 30 nm.
Zhang et al. [18] reported that doping (C, N, S) can reduce the band gap of polymorphic titania and hence reduce the energy required for photoactivation.
Yun et al [4] predicted that the heat treatment in a certain temperature range for appropriate time has a significant effect on the formation of well-defined mesostructures.

The references about the efficiency of chemical, physical and laser based cleaning techniques are numerous in the case of sedimentary and metamorphic (marbles) rocks but they are scarce in the case of granites: in Santamaría et al. (1996) several chemical and physical cleaning methods have been applied to granites, finding no harmful effects as fracturing or mineral transformation [6].
In El-Gohary (2009), several chemical (EDTA poultices) and physical (dry cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning) methods have been applied to remove weathering red crusts on granites, also finding a high level of efficiency [7].
In Pan et al. (2009), an excimer laser was successfully applied in order to remove beeswax from granite [10].
Besides these crust remains, a powdered debris rich in Si, Al, K and Na, which goes unnoticed under optic microscopy, is detected.

A great potential for antimicrobial activity has been reported by De Silva et al. (2015) as they grafted ZnO2 on HNTs surface.
Kadam et al. (2013) found similar result when they used silica coated TiO2 nanomaterial for reinforcing whey protein isolate [16].
Kadam et al. noted a same output, meanwhile El-Wakil et al. verified that the high TiO2 nanoparticle loading reduced the water vapour permeability of the samples around 10%.

Since their discovery by Fisher et.al. [7], carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have sparked both fundamental and practical interest.
The manufacturing and mechanical characteristics of the hot-pressing followed by hot-extrusion-created CNTs reinforced Al-based composite were described by Tao Peng et.al. [17] and Kuzumaki et al. [18].
According to Deuis et al. [24], adding aluminum oxide (Al2O3), silicon carbide (SiC), or titanium carbide (TiC) of varying volume fractions to Al alloy MMCs was observed to increase their corrosion resistance.

The micron-TiH2 and micron-Al-V alloy powders were blended using a tumbler mixer.
The morphology of as-received micron-TiH2 and micron-Al-V powder is shown in Fig. 1 (a-b).
SEM images of as-received micron-TiH2 (a), micron-Al-V alloy (b) and milled nano-TiH2 (c) powders.
In order to study the effects of Al-V alloy on densification behaviors for TiH2-Al-V alloy, both micron-TiH2 powder and blended micron-TiH2-Al-V powders were sintered at 1200 ºC for 4 hours and both shrinkage curves are shown in Fig. 6 for comparison.

Salman et al. also demonstrate similar results at the same temperature and glass content addition when using commercial inert glass (CIG) (as shown in Tab. 2) [23].
Sheng et al. have demonstrated that as a dietary supplement, Boron affects the bone mineral balance in rats [17].
Dupre el al. have also demonstrated the role of boron in vitamin D deficiency [18], while McGrath et al. have extended the use of boron as a suitable material for coating orthopaedic implants [19].
However, Kitsugi et al. show that addition of boron to some popular glass ceramic compositions (0.5-2 wt %) does not promote the dissolution of the glass-ceramic or does it influence bone formation at the interface of ceramic and bone [20] In contrast, Vrouwenvelder et al. [21] and Silva et al. [22] have reported the potential for boron in such applications.
Silva et al. have used boron carbide as a substitute material for biofoams.
