The starting material, slag, is found to be a heterogeneous material with at least two phases.
Upon alkali activation the material becomes more heterogeneous, now exhibiting at least four phases with significant different chemical composition.
Two techniques were used to determine the nanostructure of the materials: scanning electron microscopy to acquire back scattered electron (BSE) images and EDS maps.

The tensed piezoelectric material tilts the comb structure upward, and the compressed piezoelectric material tilts the comb structure bends downward, as shown in Figure 3(a) and (c).
In the proposed model we assumes that insulator layer, bonding layer and electrode layer are negligible because elastic substrate and piezoelectric materials layer are much more thickness than other layers.
