The co-doping of conventional EDFs with rare-earth materials can enhance the pump absorption, which is followed by a non-radiative energy transfer to Er-ions, thereby increasing the maximum output power [2].
Phosphate glass is attractive in several ways that other materials are not compared: (1) it provides larger stimulated emission cross section; (2) high quantum efficiency; (3) it helps increasing rare-earth ions doped conentration, which is the predominant difficulty in convertional silica fiber material; (4) high gain unit length.
The co-doping of conventional EDFs with rare-earth materials (such as Yb3+, Nd3+) can enhance the pump absorption, which is followed by a non-radiative energy transfer from Yb to Er ions via crossrelaxation process [2-6].
Among the fiber matrix materials, phosphate glasses have been proposed as potential host materials for rare-earth co-doped lasers and amplifiers, these glasses are characterized by high solubility, for example the highest doped concentration is 1.2×1027 ions/m3.

This paper presents a new method to study the impact factor of an old bridge strengthened with high strength materials based on the model updating technique.
These damaged bridges were repaired recently using high strength materials, such as carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRP) and steel.
The department of transportation repaired the bridge using pre-stressed CFRP and steel materials (Fig.4).
Based on the origin design and inspection reports of the bridge, the repair method is that the CFRP materials were used to repair the floor of the box beam, the steel materials were used to repair the web of the box beam, and the repaired construction was done in 2001.

Therefore, Si-Al alloy becomes one of the most potential electronic packaging materials [1-3].
Different materials in the process of Micro-EDM have different material erosion mechanisms, and the processing principles are different [4, 5].

In this study only the phases of materials and production were considered in the system’s boundary (cradle-to-gate) that is the most used in LCA studies of concrete [4].
In this phase of the material characterization, one can state that the concrete with fly ash incorporated may be classified as an eco-material (eco-concrete) considering that the environmental issues that are minimized are waste reduction, reduce of landfill problems and resource saving by the utilization of recycled materials.
These benefits are reflected in two of the life cycle steps, namely the extraction of materials (resources) and in the eco-concrete manufacturing.
