Its fast construction, green and recyclable material and fresh feature gave deep impression on the students and visitors (Fig. 1).
Buildings in Xiang’e primary school were designed by Tongji University, and wood materials and products were contributed by Canada government and wood industries.
Aimed by Canada wood industries and government, these rural buildings construct using wood materials subsided, which result in the extension of wooden architecture from expensive villas to common-price housing.

Introduction Bentonite is used as buffer / backfill materials in multi-barrier repository for high-level radioactive waste because of its low hydraulic conductivity, high swelling property and good self-sealing capacities, etc.
In China, Gaomiaozi (GMZ) bentonite, produced in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, has been chosen as a matrix material of buffer / backfill materials.
The tests are designed to simulate undrained loading response of the buffer/backfill materials for high level radioactive waste repository.
The physico-chemical parameters of two materials are listed in Table 1.

After 24 hours initial curing, specimens were stripped and kept in the standard moist room where curing continued at about 20℃ and above 95% relative humidity for 27 days. 1.2 Recycled Aggregate Concrete The materials that were used in the recycled aggregate concrete mixes were the same materials as those used in the natural concrete mixes, except the natural aggregate were replaced by recycled aggregate (RA).
