The aim involved in designing metal matrix composite materials is to combine the desirable attributes of metals and ceramics.
The 5XXX alloys have the best corrosion resistance of the aluminium casting alloys.
The 5XXX alloys require more care in preparation and casting than lower-magnesium content alloys because they are more reactive in the presence of oxygen, moisture in the atmosphere, lubricants and the like.
To avoid the ill effects of Fe phases on ductility, these alloys employing Mn to reduce die-soldering tendencies.

So, how to reduce the melting point of nocolok flux is the common aim for a lot of researchers in the past ten years[2].
In the present work, to study the chemical reactions in the solution synthesis of this ternary flux, the four middle-compounds, that is, K3AlF6, Cs3AlF6, KAlF4 and CsAlF4 were prepared with solution synthesis method.

All the samples were examed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) method to study the compounds of the samples.
The experimental results of products with E5 composition mixed and grinded with alcohol were still the three salt, there was no any reaction among the three middle-compounds.

Iron disilicide(β-FeSi2)compounds were synthesized by field-activated pressure assisted
synthesis (FAPAS) process, and their thermoelectric properties were measured.
