Spectra were recorded with a BIO-RAD Digilab Division FTS-65 A/896 FT-IR spectrophotometer with 4 cm-1 resolution. 256 scans were collected for each spectrum.

It was proven that limestone decarbonation occurs in very wide temperature intervals, while the highest intensity is usually achieved in the temperature range of 896º to 910 ºC [4].
