The assigned material orientations are depicted in Table 2.
Simulations with Hill parameters, which were assigned to the material, support the assumption, that an in-plane anisotropy in the material due to its extrusion history is the reason for the plastic flow properties in subsequent cold forming processes, but not the hardness nonuniformity within the specimens.
An accurate prediction of the material flow will help to design and to optimize subsequent metal forming operations based on hot extruded material.

The discrete model demands that the rods lie at the edges of solid elements, which results that the meshing of rock becomes irregular and computational error will be worse for the slope. since existing embedded element without interface cannot describe the bond-slip between rods and rock, the result of embedded model will not agree the actual fact well.
