The inoculation, BES architecture, cathode carbon-based materials and cathode potential were important factors in the enhancement of Cr (VI) reduction [29-31].
In view of enhancing the contacting area of the electrode and microorganisms and electron transferring, it is better to choose electrode materials with high surface area, such as graphite granules and carbon brush.

The measurement of the degree of anisotropy in materials can be inferred from the elastic anisotropy coefficient (A), which can be used to examine the possible micro-cracks in materials in engineering sciences.
Additionally, the refractive index was calculated from the complex dielectric function, which is a key parameter in understanding the optical properties of materials and has a major influence on optical devices such as solar cells and detectors, as seen in Fig.6 (a).
The optical absorption of the materials is shown in Fig. 7(b).
