The DCLs had slightly affect on the mechanical performances of slender CFST columns. the code CECS (China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization) 28:2012 was used to calculate the bearing capacity of slender CFST columns filled with DCLs under axial compression. 1.
Introduction Concrete-Filled Steel Tube (CFST) columns has been widely used in the civil engineering fields[1].
With the acceleration of global urbanization and the rapid development of civil engineering construction, a large number of abandoned concrete had been produced while building, rebuilding and expanding all kinds of buildings on a large scale, which seriously pollutes the environment.
Experimental Program 2.1 Materials and specimen details The experimental study involved 12 CFST columns.

A conclusion is given that the novel damage detection method using the correlation characteristic of the acceleration response as damage index is feasible and efficient. 1 Introduction As the core of structural health monitoring system, damage detection has become a new challenging issue in recent years [[] Pines DJ, Aktan AE, Status of structural health monitoring of long-span bridges in the United States, Progress in Structural Engineering and Materials. 4(2002) 372-380. ].

Introduction The ever-increasing concern in environmental problems and the demands for reduction of fuel consumption by both governments and public opinion has determined a noticeable interest of automobile industry for new lighter materials in automobile body-in-white construction.
Moreover the reduction of the operating force, SPR requires a substantially higher operating force, is one of the key objectives for enhancing the mobility and applicability of the SPR system [6].
Simulations with different combinations of materials and thickness of the sheets were performed and good agreement was found between the experimental and the numerical force-to-deformation riveting curves [9, 10].
According to this formulation, the most used in solid mechanical applications, the mesh follows the material flow.

The novel applications of all types of hexaferrite materials have been described. 1.
The main engineering problem that was solved at that time was the replacement of metallic Ni- and Co- alloy magnets by comparatively compact and lightweight permanent magnetic systems.

Debonding limit of the externally glued FRP reinforcements applied on clay brick substrate: statistical assessment of a design formula Carrara Pietro1, a *, Freddi Francesco2,b 1Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Florence, Via di Santa Marta, 3, 56126 Florence, Italy 2Dept. of Civil, Environmental Engineering and Architecture, University of Parma, Parco Area delle Scienze 181/A, 43124 Parma, Italy apietro.carrara@dicea.unifi.it, bfrancesco.freddi@unipr.it * Corresponding author Keywords: FRP, masonry reinforcement, statistical assessment, debonding resistance.
The design of the interventions is based on several empirical and semi-empirical formulas that are coded in different guidelines (e.g. [2,3] among others), together with installation rules, design principles and loads, safety requirements and acceptable properties for the employed materials.
As a matter of fact, some standard codes (as [2]) adjusted the design principles developed for concrete structures to masonry, even if these materials may present different mechanical behavior (e.g. orthotropy of masonry and presence of mortar joints representing discontinuities in the bonding plane [4]).
Moreover, the lack of knowledge is even worsened by the intrinsic high heterogeneity of the material and by the possible variety of "masonry".

Bismuth trioxide (Bi2O3) shows many properties and becomes an important funcational material, which has been used extensively as electronic funcational material, flame retardant, catalyst, optical material, medical composite material, radiation protection material and so on [7,8,9], for example, as an additive in paints and cataphoresis, as a substitute for lead oxide in glass or porcelain [10].

Establish maintenance schedules for high performancecleaning materials 9.
It is an integrated field which includes much more than construction and materials.
For example, LEED places more emphasis on energy efficiency and material and resource, but it does not consider transportation of building materials.

Design of the Prototype A key requirement of the design was that it should be able to work effectively with a maximum available head height at the casting pit of 1000mm.
The first prototype had the cyclone cast in a single refractory block and it was considered that this had represented a significant thermal mass contributing to the start up problems and it was decided to change the construction to a thin walled cone in fused silica set inside fibrous insulating material.
