Today, materials with high thermal hardness, high tensile strength, and sufficient thermal conductivity such as powder metallurgy (PM) high-speed steels are more frequently used.
These developments pose challenges to fine machining operations and require further investigation of the process and the cutting materials [2].

Introduction Circular arches are quite common elements in buildings and mechanical engineering structures.
Replacing the homogeneous material of an arch with a multilayer structure, provided the materials of the layers, their sequence, and thickness are properly selected, can ensure the required strength level of such an element, simultaneously with a reduction in its weight, material consumption, or the content of expensive materials.
General Solution of the Problem for a Segment of a Multilayer Beam Consider a section of a composite arch consisting of layers of the same width made of different materials (Fig. 1).
Materials of the beam layers (Fig. 5b): , – aluminum alloy; , – fiberglass; – glulam wood.
At the same time, simply replacing all the layer materials with a homogeneous isotropic or orthotropic material – such as or – led to a significant convergence of results between the exact and simplified solutions.

At last, cooling fluid brings the scraps into the internal of cutter bar, and then removed scraps. 1.2 Optimized three-dimensional solid model of oil feeder Fig. 7 illustrates optimized three dimensional solid model of oil feeder established by program engineering software.
While the sealing ring is made of plastic material, its manufacturing is difficult to guarantee the processing precision due to plastic deformation.
While the key is investigate changes of intermediate support position, which is caused by cutter support bar replace intermediate support, to test deep-hole straightness [9].

A Computational Model for Intergranular Fracture in Nanocrystalline and Ultra-Fine Polycrystalline Metals Bo Wu 1, 2, Yueguang Wei1,a 1 State-Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics, Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing 100190, China 2 Engine Engineering Center, China North Engine Research Institute, Langfang 065000, China a Ywei@Lnm.imech.ac.cn Keywords: intergranular fracture; polycrystalline metals; cohesive model; finite element method.
Introduction Mechanical behaviors of polycrystalline metallic materials with grain sizes typically less than 100nm (nanocrystalline (nc) metals) or within 100-1000nm (ultra-fine crystalline (ufc) metals) have undergone the intensely worldwide attention over the past two decades.
The intragranular elastic-plastic deformation would be dominant and the polycrystalline materials will present good ductility and high strength when 1 yT σ≥ .

Size effect on thermal properties in low-dimensional materials M.
Jiang2,b 1,2 Key Laboratory of Automobile Materials (Jilin University), Ministry of Education, and Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Jilin University, Changchun 130022, China a zhaoming@jlu.edu.cn , bjiangq@jlu.edu.cn Keywords: Size-dependent, Thermodynamics; Phase transition; Nanocrystals; Phase diagram; Abstract. An extension of the classical thermodynamics to nanometer scale has been conducted to elucidate information regarding size dependence of phase transition functions and binary phase diagrams.
These properties changes lead to, on one hand, an emerging interdisciplinary field involving solid state physics, chemistry, biology and materials science to synthesize materials and/or devices with new properties by controlling their microstructures on the atomic level, on the other hand, understanding the physical and chemical natures behind the new properties in order to guide the fabrication of new materials and their possible industrial applications [6].
Moreover, for nanoscale materials with different shapes, Eq. 19 is an effective model to investigate size effect on Tm.
The variation of Tm(r) indicates that as size of materials decreases, the thermal stability of the materials must be reexamined and considered in the industrial application.
