Applications of Self-Organizing Maps in Structural Health Monitoring Inka Buethe1, a, Peter Kraemer2,b and Claus-Peter Fritzen1,c 1 University of Siegen, Institute of Mechanics and Control Engineering-Mechatronics, Paul-Bonatz-Strasse 9-11, 57076 Siegen, Germany 2 Woelfel Beratende Ingenieure GmbH + Co.
Introduction Self-Organizing Maps have been used in many science areas: as a tool for organizing large amounts of data, as a tool of speech recognition differing between several groups of people, for process monitoring in engineering and natural science, and for classification of data in different fields like finance and social science.
Piezoelectric materials are used as sensors and actuators for the generation and measurement of ultrasonic waves for inspection of structures and involve many advantages like applicability for high frequencies as well as being able to cope with only a small amount of energy.

From the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, glass as a building material plays a more and more important role in architectural industry and it was made possible by progress in the manufacture of glass, which allowed flat panes of glass to be produced with a better quality.
The key point of Rogers’ new concepts is the adaptive capability of the facades to different weather conditions.
This leads to an increasing complexity of the design task, which can only be tackled by interdisciplinary cooperation between architects, façade planners and consulting engineers.

e) New option of reducing carbon emissions provided by pentosan-containing raw materials This new option is given by the two-stage process of processing pentosan-containing raw materials with the production of 2-furaldehyde and biochar.
Wood pyrolysis, hydrothermal carbonization of wood, and the new two-stage method of processing wood and other pentosan-containing raw materials provide another benefit in addition to carbon sequestration, i.e. improving the quality of soil, increasing soil fertility or the production of a desired chemical.

When shopping in super market, we could understand the real time information about the products by IOT application on the mobile phone, for instance, the production date, address, nutrition list etc. when we do the payment, auto-payment without involvement of cashier is possible, when we do the laundry, the washing machine could automatically identify the color, material etc about the clothes, and automatically determine the washing mode and detergent as well as the used amount.
Conclusion Electronic label data safety and electronic label communication safety are the keys of RFID information security protection.

With investigation on a sort of typical engine [5], about 40 percent energy is consumed by the friction of the engine, there into the friction losing of the piston ring and cylinder jacket system account for 50 percent to 60 percent, and, feasible lubricate and surface roughness are key points for reducing the friction of the piston ring and cylinder jacket system.
