Materials and Methods Experiment materials The Potamogeton crispus used in the experiment was collected from outdoor natural ponds in Zhabei District, Shanghai.
In suspension group, 400g of sediment were added to the 2000mL graduated cylinder, using polystyrene foam packaging material as a fixed matrix and planting five selected top branches of Potamogeton crispus. 1200mL distilled water was injected into each cylinder slowly by siphon, avoiding disturbance of sediment.
Acknowledgments This work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (20677038) and Innovation Found of Shanghai University (SHUCX102265).
