Using the UV-Vis absorption spectral data, quantities such as nephelauxetic ratio, bonding parameter and Racah parameters are evaluated.
Both bonding parameter and nephelauxetic ratio revealed a reduction with increasing concentration of Au NPs, where decrease in the ionic bonding between Sm3+ and surrounding ligand have clearly indicated an enhancement in the covalency.
The observed reduction in the nephelauxetic function is attributed to the weakening of the localized d-electrons aroused from overlapping d-orbital and ligand orbital.

We compare the simulated output of the derived actuator models with the measured data from a real world test cylinder system.
However, the manufacturer’s data sheet usually provides the information on step responses and/or frequency responses for various sizes and types of valves.
This reduction on the model order is also valid for most fatigue test applications with force control.
Experimental results from a real world cylinder show good agreement of the measured data with simulation results for the low order cylinder system model.

The ID of a data set is commonly defined as the smallest number of dimensions that can be used to adequately explain the data.
In order to evaluate our proposed method in a real-world situation, seven data sets are selected from the UC Irvine machine learning data repository [13] with numeric features and varying data sizes, including several of high-dimensional data sets.
A summary of data sets can be found in Table 2.

The reduction in the relative amount of fine aggregate increased the average pore space and resulted in a reduction in mix stiffness and a marginal increase in ultimate strength.

In subsequent machining tests, a reduction in the thermal effusivity b led to an increase in tool life.
The values for the thermal conductivity were interpolated and extrapolated from the data of Tlili et al. based on the coating composition [13].
Since the temperature at the tool surface cannot be derived directly from the measured data due to its unsteady and non-linear course in the tool, a method for determining the mean surface temperature is presented.
In the first step, the rake face temperature is calculated by extrapolation of the temperature measurement data (Fig. 2, right).
In the absence of experimental data on the friction coefficient of the coating system, this aspect was neglected in the context of this work and should therefore be the subject of future work.
