Currently passive rubber damper mainly depend on compression and shear deformation of the rubber material to achieve absorption and consumption of vibration energy, although the type of damper’s structure is simple, the cost is not high, there are some limitations on the damping characteristics, especially on high frequency[1,2,3].
With development of MR fluid damper material technology, it causes widespread concern to use MR fluid damper instead traditional rubber damper [4,5].

A new coagulant polysilicate iron and zinc (PSFZn) was prepared by using sodium silicate, inorganic acid, ferric chloride, zinc chloride as raw materials, the factors of (Fe+Zn):Si molar ratio, Fe:Si molar ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time and the dosage on coagulation performance were tested.
(3) The flocs produced by PSFZn were thick dense with high settlement rate, at the same time, PSFZn had the characteristic of obvious performance, simple preparation method , and inexpensive raw materials.
