Introduction
Niobium and niobium compounds have been widely used in the steel,aerospace,electronics industry and other fields because of their high strength,high hardness,high melting point and strong stability.The low-grade niobium ore from Bayan Obo in Baotou is the main raw material for the extraction of niobium ,which contains large quantities of Fe and trace amount of Nb, Re and so on highly valued elements.

The models of wharfs with 7m, 10m and 12m water depth were established according to the spring stiffness and material properties.

Experimental teaching content and methods for excellence program
The content of experiment teaching.According to the characteristics and the University of Science and Technology Liaoning courses of civil engineering, civil engineering designs 9 experimental projects.
The 9 experimental projects were covered by the basic characteristics of raw materials, material composition design, structure, performance and safety performance, characteristics and construction process, comprehensively relates to the whole process of Engineering project.
This new teaching mode has been piloted in University of Science and Technology Liaoning class of 2009 and 2010 students participated in the experimental design, test and training from specimen, loading test, the experimental results analysis and summary of the whole process.

An ecologic residential quarter needs to reduce the pavement area of the ground and increase the use of materials which have good water permeability.
The key of roof material is selection of the upper soil and the plant.
Upper soil should choose clean natural or artificial material with high porosity, small density and available for plant growth.
