Performance-based engineering was used to devise the seismic retrofit for the principle structure.
As mandated by the WCC Earthquake-Prone Building Policy [1], the WCC completed an ISA of the building following New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineer’s document [2], (aka Redbook).
Performance-based engineering (PBE) was used to assess the performance of the building structure retrofitted with BRBF.

With the rapid development of engineering and technology, there are many new research approaches to be validated, probing questions to be asked, and fresh ideas to be discussed.
Following this rapid trend, MST-S has done a lot of work in promoting information exchange in advanced research and development of engineering and technology.
And we believe it will be stronger and stronger in providing a fascinating platform for all the researchers and scholars to share research results, find cooperation opportunities, and improve the whole world by engineering and technology.

The research of reservoir fluid-solid coupling theory is hot issues in home or foreign recently, In oil, civil, environment and geology, mining and other fields with a wide application.
As can be seen from Table 3, after coupling the value of average stress and total displacement are greater than before coupling. The results show than it is important meaning for used to solve practical engineering problems. 1 Introduction Rocks experienced a long and diagenesis and transformation history, its internal includes the micro cracks, porosity and the macroscopic crack joints as continuous surface, and they provides storage and migration of places for underground liquid.
Tong dengke(2005) has summarized and discussed the research progress of fluid-soild coupled flow of porous media, put forward the further research direction and discussed emphasizly oil and gas fluid-soild coupled multiphase flow and application research, providing reference for other seepage engineer[2].Zhang Guangming (2009), deducted the non-linear incremental finite element formulation corresponding, and adopted bonding units whose degree of freedom composed by the node displacement and pore pressure to simulate the expansion of cracks of pre-crack caused by water damage, on this basis, established finite element model of hydraulic fracturing wells[3].

Keywords: foam glass, lightweight aggregate, thermal conductivity, epoxy, bituminous binder, cement.
Secondary raw materials obtained by recycling waste glass find use (among others) in the production of thermal and acoustic insulation, production of lightweight concrete mixes and also in transportation engineering e.g. in road reconstruction.
An indisputable advantage in terms of the environment is the possibility of repeated recycling of the glass powder aggregate and to melt it into a full-fledged material to be used in civil engineering [8,9].

Keywords: owner contractor contracts construction arrangement
Abstract: Different arrangements of contracts for construction are numerous and various, as are the titles and terms applied to them.
For certain projects, a consulting engineer or builder may be the designer.
Many utility-type buildings (e.g., warehouses, factories, plants) are built by owners who contract with a builder who employs an engineer-designer.
Some professional engineers are developer-designer-builders who lease or sell their developments and who hire such consultants as needed.
The PM has total responsibility for a major project, and is usually represented at the site by a resident engineer.

By engineering example this study shows the pros and cons of these two methods, and proves that the method of grey model prediction is more suitable of predicting the trend of object in the structural health monitoring system.
Introduction With the development of society and the progress of people's living standard, much large civil engineering has been continuously building, such as long-span space structure for large-scale sport events, large-river-spanning bridges and sea-crossing bridges, super large buildings of modern city.
SHM system based on key civil engineering can have a good grasp of the safety, durability during construction and service stage, and provide experimental basis for the design of the similar new structure [1, 2].So it is very necessary to establish and research the SHM system.
Meanwhile, analyzing historical data based on the structural characteristic parameters predicts a trend of engineering physical quantity in future interval [5].
