Predictions must include the magnitude of the danger, the movement distance of the landslide, the thickness of the material that will slip during movement of the materials, and ultimately, the form and thickness of the accumulation.
Landslides of materials with different physical properties will have different internal friction, which will affect the relationship between movement distance and the angle of internal friction.
