The experiment pattern on the analysis of the elements evaporation from alloy Al-Mg6 during laser beam action: 1 – laser gun; 2 - laser beam; 3 – melt metal; 4 – base material; 5 – glass plate; 6 – metal vapors from the zone of laser beam action.

The sensor supplies a 70 MHz oscillating wave to the sensor prongs that charges according to the dielectric of the material.
It is possible to get sticks, bark, roots or other material stuck between the sensor prongs, which will adversely affect readings.
