The practioner should select biomimetic materials with similar Young's modulus of enamel in treatment, ensuring the strength, stiffness and stability of the filling materials.
It indicates that choosing materials for filling deep caries need to be considered the bond strength and protect dental pulp as well.

The reductive degradation of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (2,4-DNT) by three kinds of iron-based materials, namely, copper-doped iron, scrap iron and iron powder, was investigated in detail.
The effects of iron materials, pH and iron dosage on the removal efficiency were studied.
Fig. 2 shows the DNT removal versus the time for different kinds of iron materials at an initial 2,4-DNT concentration of 200mg/L, in which the pH of the solution was adjusted to 3.
