The used phase change materials mainly includes CaCl2·6H2O, Na2SO4·10H2O and paraffin wax etc.
The first important application in buildings is taking phase change materials as indoor heat insulation materials by means of thermal energy storage device installed in the room, or “adding” phase change materials in the walls, doors, windows, ceilings or under floors.
The second important application in buildings is combining phase change materials with construction materials, thus forming multi-functional materials.
