An interesting form of nano-structure is the socalled
quantum dots, which can be grown in some solution, on a substrate, or embedded in a host
material.
In some cases a periodic arrangement of similar in size and shape quantum dots can be achieved, either on the surface of a substrate (2D) arrangement, or layers of 2D periodic quantum dots embedded in a host material and stacked (3D arrangement).
Also it is possible to produce two quantum dots of similar shape and close together, the resulted structure is referred as quantum dot molecule.[4-5] Apart from the choice of the constituent materials it is possible to choose the size and shape of each dot and also the distance between the QDs.

The material of the cladding determines the best remove it.
From Snell’s law with an angle of refraction equal to, the critical angle depends only on the refractive indices and of the core and cladding materials, respectively: There are no transmission losses during light propagation except for the intrinsic absorption of the fiber material.

Abstract:In order to reveal the forming laws, eliminate the forming defects appearing in the typical aluminum alloy web-rib parts, two types of preforms have been used in the final forging with numerical simulation software.Based on the simulation, the comparisons of metal flow, effective strain distribution are obtained between the two types of preforms applied in the final forging process, the forming laws of a symmetrical rib-web component have been obtained ,and the forming mechanism of defects often happened in web- rib parts also has been analyzed, the relationship between the fillet radius and metal flow velocity/ final load was obtain
At present, the forging method is popular applied in the aluminum alloy component with rib-web structure, because the metal flow line is distributed along their geometric shape, the metal flow lines in the important locations to be cut off .However, the material flow is more complicated and difficult to predict in the process of forming the rib-web parts.
The material of the web always contacts with the die, with the force from the die, the compressed metal shifts its flow toward the rib areaas as the upper die pressing down.So the large pressure makes the metal produce enough plastic deformation in the region of the web.But the metal of rib appears rigid flow, there is no enough plastic deformation in the rib region.
