The ceramic ball is inside bearing, and the contact area of ceramic ball connected with lubricating oil is small, so the convective heat transfer coefficient is small, then the temperature of ceramic ball is the highest.
Fig. 7 Cross section temperature curve of the bearing inner ring Summary In this paper, three-dimensional model of high-speed hybrid ceramic angular contact ball bearing is established By Pro/ENGINEER, the heat generation rate and convective heat transfer coefficient of bearing are calculated, then temperature field of hybrid ceramic angular contact ball bearing is simulated by using finite element method.

Various types of porous media materials were used as a heat transfer media, i.e. 25mm ceramic saddles, random size bio-filter media from MTEC, ceramic foam, and ceramic balls.
Due to brittleness of the ceramic foam material, the lower area of the furnace is filled with the ceramic saddle.
