Introduction KDP crystal is an important electro-optic material developed in 1940s[1].
However, because KDP crystal is a soft brittle material, and sensitive to the change of temperature, the ultraprecision machining of KDP crystal is very difficult and KDP crystal is acknowledged as a crystal material most difficult to fabricate.
After measuring and computing, the material removal rate of KDP crystal was obtained and its value was 6.03µm/min, the material removal rate was comparatively high.

Since the primary cause of the fracture in upsetting is tensile stresses, it is therefore essential to investigate fracture during the deformation processing of sintered powder materials with the help of axial upsetting tests.It is well established that the Poisson’s ratio for the P/M materials under plastic deformation is less than 0.5 and only approaching to 0.5 in the near vicinity of the theoretical density [4].
Thus a mass constancy principle is adopted to establish fracture criterion for P/M material.
It is well established that the hardening in P/M material during cold upsetting is due to matrix and geometric [8].
