Experimental investigation of large eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete column consolidated with FRP sheets Guangling GUO Key Research Lab for Concrete Structure , Dept. of Civil Engineering, Shaanxi University of Technology, Hanzhong, Shaanxi 723003, China ggl750320@126.com Keywords: Fiber Sheet;Strengthen; Eccentrically Compressed Reinforced Concrete Column; The bearing capacity; ductility Abstract:According to the experiment of 11 eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete columns and 1 comparative column under the monotonic loading, the bearing capacity, ductility, and the destruction mode of the columns before and after their consolidation have been compared and analyzed. The experimental results illustrates that external coherence of FRP could effectively enhance their bearing capacity and the improvements have relation to many aspects, such as the number of fiber layers, the category of fiber, approaches of how fiber sheet paste, the width of FRP and consolidation
In the paper, pasted FRP reinforced concrete columns have been studied, the effects of reinforcement methods on eccentrically compressed columns in pre-post consolidation such as the bearing capacity, ductility, crack and destruction modes and other aspects have been compared and analyzed, and a theoretical calculation has been proposed for the corresponding engineering applications.

Introduction Although China has build a number of high-strength steel tower structural engineering, but in such structure the tower main leg using Q460 or higher strength steel, which of the stability test and theoretical analysis are still insufficient, but also there is no dedicated design of such high strength steel member design methods [1-2].

Application of Genetic Arithmetic and Support Vector Machine in Prediction of Compression Index of Clay Xuchao Shi a and Yingfei Guo b School of Civil Engineering, Henan University of Technology, Zhengzhou 450001, China a haut2007@163.com, bzzwhhd@163.com Keyword: support vector machine; deformation; prediction; genetic algorithm; model.
Introduction As clay is highly compressible and produces much settlement, compression index (Cc) is an important parameter to determine the settlement of clay, therefore, the determination of Cc of clay is an imperative task in civil engineering [1].
By training and testing for the input sample, the model has good discriminate function, and can be used in practical engineering.
