As the experimental material was thick plate, in order to prevent welding defects such as lack of penetration, we selected larger welding current, backing layer current was 230 A, filling layer was 260 A( table Table5 Main chemical compositiong of CHW-55 CNH layer IA) U(V) V(mm·s-1) backing 230 30 2.3 filling 260 29 2.0 covering 250 29 2.2 welding joint inspection (1) microstructure: Along the weld thickness direction for metallographic specimen, with 3% nitric acid alcohol corrosion, photographic under metallographic microscope XJG - 05, magnification of 100 x, samples of the parent metal, HAZ and weld metallographic images showed in figure 4.
