LCA is a process of evaluating the environmental impacts associated with a product, process, or activity by: identifying and quantifying the energy and materials used and the wastes released to the environment; assessing the impacts of those energy and material uses and releases to the environment; and identifying and evaluating opportunities for environmental improvements [9].
All emissions, energy consumption, materials and cost are based on this functional unit.

The recent development of two types of environmental friendly cementitious materials, magnesium oxychloride cement and magnesium phosphate cement, at HKUST are presented.
The bonding of these cementitious materials can be achieved at room temperature through chemical reaction, as opposed to fusion or sintering at high temperature.

Introduction Compared to common polymers at the macro level, Inorganic nano composite polymer materials shows unexpected characteristics such as light, electricity, magnetism and thermal aspects and demonstrates broad application prospect. It has become a concerning research direction in material science [1, 2].At present, many scholars mainly make the cross-linked polyethylene and low-density polyethylene as the basic materials and make various preliminary dielectric property study based on several concentrations of different inorganic nano-composite materials.
