Although PAS has been extensively applied in studying defects in semiconductors and synthetic materials, yielding quantitative data on their microscopic properties its potential in medical imaging could significantly enhance diagnostic methodologies.
Ps, in particular ortho-Ps (o-Ps), has the potential to infer properties of materials, such as voids, pores, oxygen concentration [14].
Advances in Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy for Medical Imaging PAS has been widely used for the inspection of mesoporous materials, metal alloys, semiconductors, and solar cells.

There is a lack of information on the magnetic properties of particles of such materials as powder magnetic (modified by inclusions of magnetite and maghemite) carbon sorbents intended for water purification from various kinds of impurities and, what is especially important, allowing to perform the prompt isolation of the spent sorbent – by magnetic separation.
These data, as a rule, reflect the magnetic properties not of the particles of these components themselves, but of special samples of their material.

Surface Modification of Pure Titanium by Nitrogen Ion Implantation at Different Beam Energy and Dose
Online since: January 2011
Authors: M. Ridha, Nurdin Ali, Haryanti Samekto, Mohd Imran Ghazali
Among metallic materials, Titanium is considered the most suitable materials in medical applications due to its biocompatibility which is better than stainless steel and cobalt base alloys [1].
Titanium and its alloys are mainly used for substituting materials for hard tissues [2].

Introduction It is acknowledged that severe plastic deformation (SPD) of bulk metallic materials leads to physical and mechanical properties significantly enhanced compared to those of coarse-grained materials due to extensive grain refinement [1-6].
The SPD-processed materials have gained considerable interest to the strength of the formation of nanocrystalline (NC) or ultrafine-grained (UFG) microstructures [7-9].
Methods and materials Fe-28Mn-6Si-5Cr (mass%) SMA ingots were prepared using a Fives Celes furnace, then were machined into rings.
