This is mainly because: (1) as output variables, alumina concentration can not be directly measured, which must depend on long time interval sampling and analysis. (2) electrolytic aluminum production process cannot be described with mathematical analytical model, the factors which affect the electrolytic aluminum concentration are many, such as raw material composition, voltage and current, additives, aluminum quantity, anode movement, those have the uncertainty.
Cell is a complex industrial process system with multi-variable coupled, nonlinear, time-varying and large delay, due to its own between electrolytic cell material and the energy balance state, and many important parameters with non-continuous determination, which bring about enormous difficulties for the precise mathematical model's establishment.
