All experiments were conducted in 250 mL shake flasks, which were incubated for 72 h at 30°C and agitated at 250 rpm (provided by an orbital shaker PSU-20i (Biosan Ltd., Latvia) under sterile conditions using pure, previously prepared, seed material of each methanotroph strain.

Abstract—In the summer of 2010, we performed some on-site measurements to investigate the outdoor air temperature and wind velocity of Happy Homeland, a typical post-earthquake transition settlement of Sichuan.
A lot of design variables contribute to heat island effect, such as urban structure, size of the city, population and density of built-up area, ratio of buildings height to distance between them (Hereinafter referred to as ratio of H-D), width of roads, building materials, surface materials and sky view factor [4].In order to enhance the natural ventilation and reduce the heat island effect in transition settlements, this article proposes planning and design improvement which focuses on raising ratio of H-D, widening width of roads but raising volume fraction as well.
