Material parameters were obtained by tensile test of P2 steel sheet.
Yield strength of the material was (323.8 ± 8.9) MPa, the modulus of elasticity was (226.9 ± 12.6) GPa.

Various techniques are applied to achieve the protection, like use of insulation materials, white coating, or surface finishes which reduce the influence from outside, use of heat pipe that conduct heat from hot components to cold ones, use black coating for enhancing radiation inside, and so on.

The net result is often that the people using sophisticated design and manufacturing systems are unaware of the materials and performance criteria underpinning their successful use in engineering practice.
This is because they are affected by a wide range of factors, and can occur as a result of deficiencies in, and subtle interplay amongst, design methods, manufacturing and fabrication processes, materials selection and performance, and operation and maintenance.
Case Studies in Cracking The principles of failure analysis and fractography (which is the science of the study of fracture surface features) are common across all size scales of cracking problem.

Their algebraic equations, although based on linear elastic material behaviour (i.e. simplified material properties), were used to illustrate how the extent of removal of steel-concrete bond, section properties and load distribution may influence the load carrying capacity.
The second author’s work on patch repairs has addressed the structural characteristics of R.C. beams in which, in the course of applying the repair materials, the concrete cover and the main steel-concrete bond over certain regions of the damaged R.C. beams are removed prior to the application of the repair material.
