The annual average mean irradiance of global radiation horizontal is 134 W/m² for Böheimkirchen according to the Meteonorm climate data.

A further reduction of the HWBRK to 15.6 kWh/(m²a) was possible through this combined optimisation approach (see Table 1, final phase 2).

Drawing reductions were 83 pct for wires directly drawn after Stelmor cooling and 82 pct for wires predrawn and lead patented.
The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) was determined from the tensile data.
In Fig. 1(b), asdrawn and 1 s heat treated wires do not have data points on the figure since there was no delamination.
The absence of torsion ductility data for some 1 s wire conditions indicates that delamination did not occur for this heat treatment time.
When aging temperature was increased at the 20 s treatment time (Fig. 2), the UTS reduction and SSD recovery were greater in the lead patented condition in comparison to the Stelmor cooled condition.

Anisotropic effects are measured by analysing tensile tests data for the specimens from 0o, 45o and 90o rolling directions of thin sheet of 0.8 mm thickness.

These results are compared with the experimental data measured in the same test conditions of another SiC power device already introduced to the market.
