This volume contains selected peer-reviewed papers presented at the 2021 Virtual International Conference on Sustainable Engineering and Materials Development (ICSEMD 2021, 22- 24 September 2021). The conference was co-hosted by LabIngate Inc. Canada and Bells University of Technology, Nigeria. The papers cover recent achievements in the development and properties' research of various advanced materials and sustainable materials processing technologies.
The presented volume reflects the last research results and engineering solutions in materials and technologies in mechanical engineering and construction, modern nanomaterials, and applied nanotechnologies. The short reports on the research papers were presented at the 5th International Conference on Sensors, Materials and Manufacturing (ICSMM 2021) and 2021 9th International Conference on Nanomaterials and Materials Engineering (ICNME 2021).
The current volume of the journal "Nano Hybrids and Composites" presents the last research results in nano-sized functional materials and composites. In the edition are analysed synthesis techniques of some nanomaterials, described results of their properties and microstructure analysis, and explored the perspective of the applications in various engineering areas. The collected articles will be interesting for scientific researchers from nanomaterials and nanotechnologies and also will be helpful to engineers and students in mentioned area of materials science.
This journal volume presents results on the investigation of the characteristics of polycrystalline silicon thin film for solar cells and the development of the electrical model of an electrochemical cell with solid polymer electrolyte. Readers can also look at the results of the design and experimental investigation of cube satellite, pico hydro generator for the low energy consumption, and agricultural drone. The structural elements of these devices were produced by 3D printing technologies. The volume also presents the results of an experimental investigation of the thermal performance of the smart passive cooling roof system for residential buildings.
The 72nd volume of the "Journal of Nano Research" has been collected from the peer-reviewed articles reflecting the practical research results in the synthesis and properties analysis of nanomaterials and nanostructures for various cases of industrial applications. The research results will find practical use in micro- and optoelectronics, chemical production, technologies of membrane water desalination, and water treatment by the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, intensification of plant growth, and packaging of agricultural products.
