Fabrication of 10Gbps TOSA Packaged EML Module Based on Optimized CPW Feed Line

Abstract:

We fabricated and analyzed the 10Gb/s EML TOSA packaged module. An optimized CPW feed line was employed for the module, and greatly improved the performance of the module compared to the module with the conventional CPW. With this optimized CPW feed line, a clear back to back (BTB) eye opening of optical output waveform with mask margin of 20% and extinction ratio was 10.45dB.
